Supermodel Helena Christensen has proved age is just a number by looking sensational while posing in lingerie at the age of 53.
She was chosen as the face of a fashion campaign, due to her smouldering looks and amazing figure, showing she can give models half her age a run for their money.
Speaking with Vogue, Christensen said: “When I wear vintage underwear, I think of all the women who wore it before me. And when I wear new pieces, I think of who will wear them later on in life. These little stories really resonate with me.”
The Danish former Victoria’s Secret Angel first made a name for herself modelling for French magazine Elle, before taking part in the Miss Universe contest.
Proving she is not a one trick pony, Christensen has also starred in a couple of movies, including the 1980 flick Inferno. She also famously appeared in Chris Isaack’s music video for Wicked Game, in which she was topless.
She then became part of the 1990s supermodel elite set, which also included Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schieffer, Tyra Banks, Eva Herzigova, and Cindy Crawford.
More than 30 years later, she is one of the few remaining who are still rocking luxury lingerie as well now as they did then.
Describing that period of her life, she said: “Everything was so frantic in my 20s that it was hard to actually stop and breathe and enjoy the surreal life. I was just living.”
